Ces composés sont utilisables comme nucléases artificielles spécifiques de séquences d'acides nucléiques. Ils peuvent être utilisés pour bloquer sélectivement l'expression d'un gène préalablement choisi en agissant directement soit sur l'information génétique soit sur les ARNs messagers. The present invention relates to chemical compounds constituted by an oligonucleotide or an oli godesoxynucleotide comprising a sequence of natural or modified nucleotides and linked by a covalent bond to an intercalating radical and to a reactive chemical radical. These compounds can be used as artificial nucleases specific for nucleic acid sequences. They can be used to selectively block the expression of a previously chosen gene by acting directly either on genetic information or on messenger RNAs.
