Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 9
Claim 1
Independent Claim 45 words
A focusing collimator, comprising a plurality of corrugated strips (24A, 24B ... 241 ...) , each strip (24A, 24B ... 241 ...) being shaped in cross-section within each stacking plane of interest as part of a different radial sector of a common predetermined annulus (16).
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 45 words
A focusing collimator, comprising a plurality of corrugated strips (24A, 24B ... 241 ...) , each strip (24A, 24B ... 241 ...) being shaped in cross-section within each stacking plane of interest as part of a different radial sector of a common predetermined annulus (16).
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 15 words
The collimator of claim 1, wherein all the radial sectors subtend a like solid angle.
Claim 4
Independent Claim 83 words
A method of manufacturing a focusing collimator, comprising: procuring a plurality of corrugated strips (14A, 14B ... 140 ...) which within a stacking plane of interest are shaped in cross-section as radial sectors of a common predetermined annulus (16); stacking the strips (14A, 14B ... 140) on a mandrel (18) having a radius of curvature equal to an inner radius of said annulus (16); bonding the strips (14A, 148 ... 140) together into a unit; and shaping the unit to a desired shape.
Claim 5
Independent Claim 83 words
A method of manufacturing a focusing collimator, comprising: procuring a plurality of corrugated strips (14A, 14B ... 140 ...) which within a stacking plane of interest are shaped in cross-section as radial sectors of a common predetermined annulus (16); stacking the strips (14A, 14B ... 140) on a mandrel (18) having a radius of curvature equal to an inner radius of said annulus (16); bonding the strips (14A, 148 ... 140) together into a unit; and shaping the unit to a desired shape.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 15 words
The method of claim 3, wherein all the strips (14A, 148 ... 140) are identical.
Claim 7
Independent Claim 54 words
A method of manufacturing a focusing collimator, comprising: procuring a plurality of corrugated strips (24A, 24B ... 241) which are shaped in cross-section within each stacking plane of interest as different parts of different radial sectors of a common predetermined annulus; stacking the strips on a flat surface (26); and bonding the strips together.
Claim 8
Independent Claim 54 words
A method of manufacturing a focusing collimator, comprising: procuring a plurality of corrugated strips (24A, 24B ... 241) which are shaped in cross-section within each stacking plane of interest as different parts of different radial sectors of a common predetermined annulus; stacking the strips on a flat surface (26); and bonding the strips together.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 14 words
The method of claim 5, wherein all the sectors subtend a like solid angle.
