Automotive multiple-unit train
Abstract
Abstract A motor coach train formed from two outer coach parts (1) and at least one central coach part (2) has passenger compartments (4) and ancillary compartments (5), such as washrooms, luggage compartments and entry areas, intended for the temporary accommodation of passengers. The coach parts (1, 2) rest on bogeys (6) of which preferably two are driven by underfloor internal-combustion engines (7). In order to design this motor coach train conveniently in as simple a manner as possible in terms of drive and sound technology, the internal-combustion engines (7) and the gears (8) required for power transmission are located underneath the end regions of the outer coach parts (1) situated towards the centre coach (2), the ancillary compartments (5) being collected in these end regions and the centre bogeys (6), arranged in the manner of a twin coach system bogie, being driven (Fig. 3). <IMAGE>
