Abstract

A method and an apparatus for suppressing feedback phenomena which occur when microphones (1) are arranged in the vicinity of loudspeakers (8). The feedback phenomena are suppressed by the fact that the microphone output signal is given in two channels (3, 4), the signals are offset from one another by preferably 180 ° and are fed to the loudspeakers (8) in different strengths as if united. By regulating the volume of the weaker signal, the tendency for feedback can be reduced without impairing speech or music transmission.
