Cylinder head sealing device for an internal-combustion engine having the precombustion chamber built into the cylinder head
Abstract
In the case of a cylinder head gasket for internal combustion engines with a pre-combustion chamber insert, preferably made of sintered ceramic, inserted in the cylinder head, the area of the cylinder head gasket is formed entirely or partially from a high temperature-resistant material corresponding to the bottom surface of the pre-combustion chamber. The pre-combustion chamber then lies either completely on the material that is still to be plastically deformed or only on an edge zone on the bordered sealing edge in such a way that the material which is resistant to high temperatures only forms a non-sealing template segment. In this way, an optimal seal can be achieved at lower sealing pressures, so that ceramic pre-combustion chamber inserts in particular are effectively protected against breaking during installation.
