Abstract Translated from German Der Harnleiterkatheter weist am blasenseitigen Ende des Katheterschlauchs (10) ein Rückschlagventil in Form eines Folienventils (16) auf. Das Folienventil (16) besteht aus zwei flach aufeinanderliegenden dünnwan­digen Folien, die an ihren seitlichen Enden miteinander verklebt oder verschweißt sind. Es verhindert den Rück­fluß von Urin und das Rückspülen von Bakterien von der Blase zur Niere. Auf Drainageöffnungen am blasensei­tigen Katheterende wird verzichtet, um Inkrustationser­scheinungen zu vermeiden. The ureteral catheter has a check valve in the form of a film valve (16) at the bladder-side end of the catheter tube (10). The film valve (16) consists of two thin-walled films lying flat on top of one another, which are glued or welded to one another at their lateral ends. It prevents the backflow of urine and the backwash of bacteria from the bladder to the kidney. There are no drainage openings at the bladder end of the catheter to avoid signs of incrustation.
