Abstract

A valve system for controllable, hydraulic vibration dampers, in particular for telescopic shock absorbers for motor vehicles, is described. The valve system allows the connection of a bypass channel next to an open flow channel. Both channels lead to a spring-loaded poppet valve at points of different spring hardness. The separation of the two channels over their entire length gives the designer greater freedom of design and more targeted tuning of the vibration damper for the respective application.
