Punched plates heat exchanger with improved tightness
Abstract
A heat exchange device - (17) is described, the exchange zone of which consists of a stack of perforated plates (1,2) having perforations arranged in such a way that the superposition of the perforations creates circulation spaces for at least two fluids at different temperatures, said perforated plates being separated in pairs by at least one seal - (7) arranged so that each perforation of the plates corresponding to a circulation space traversed by a fluid is separated from the perforations corresponding to the circulation spaces traversed by a different fluid, said stack being maintained under a clamping pressure of 2 to 50 bars by means of a plurality of tie rods passing therethrough and said seal being constituted by an expanded graphite manufactured under conditions such as 'it has a bulk density of about 200 to 500 kg. m - 3 .
