Disc cartridge

Claim 2

A disc cartridge comprising a cartridge case for rotatably accommodating a disc and a shutter for opening and closing at least one head accessing opening defined on the cartridge case, wherein said shutter comprises at least one plate member for opening and closing the head accessing opening and a connecting plate connected with at least one end of the plate member so as to face to at least one end face of the cartridge case, a first engaging means formed on the connecting plate toward the one end surface of the cartridge case and a second engaging means formed on the one end face of the cartridge case for engagement with the first engaging means to slidably mount the shutter on the cartridge case.

Claim 3

The disc cartridge according to claim 1, wherein said shutter comprises a first plate, a second plate opposed to the first plate and a connecting plate for connecting the first and second plates in the form of a general U character shape.

Claim 4

The disc cartridge according to claim 1, wherein the shutter is made of synthetic resin materials as a whole.

Claim 5

The disc cartridge according to claim 1, wherein the plate member is made of a metal plate and the connecting plate is made of synthetic resin material.

Claim 6

The disc cartridge according to claim 1, wherein the first engaging means comprises a resilient engaging tip and the second engaging means is an elongated slot extending in the direction of the movement of the shutter.

Claim 7

A disc cartridge comprising a cartridge case formed by a top half case and a bottom half case for rotatably accommodating a disc and a shutter for opening and closing at least one head accessing opening defined on the cartridge case, wherein said shutter comprises at least one plate member for opening and closing the head accessing opening and a connecting plate connected with at least one end of the plate member so as to face to at least one end face of the cartridge case, a first engaging means comprising a column like member formed on the connecting plate toward the one end surface of the cartridge case, an upper engaging tip formed on the column like member in a direction of toward the inside of the top half case and a lower engaging tip formed on the column like member in a direction toward the bottom half case, said cartridge case comprising an engaging opening, a first projecting rib and second projecting rib formed on the top half case and the bottom half case respectively near the engaging opening for engaging with the upper and lower engaging tips so that the shutter is slidably mounted on the cartridge case.

Claim 8

A disc cartridge comprising a cartridge case formed by a top half case and a bottom half case for rotatably accommodating a disc and a shutter for opening and closing at least one head accessing opening defined on the cartridge case, wherein said shutter comprises at least one plate member for opening and closing the head accessing opening and a connecting plate connected with at least one end of the plate member so as to face to at least one end face of the cartridge case, a first engaging means comprising a column like member formed on the connecting plate toward the one end surface of the cartridge case, an upper engaging tip formed on the column like member in a direction of toward the inside of the top half case and a lower engaging tip formed on the column like member in a direction toward the bottom half case, said cartridge case comprising an engaging opening, a first projecting rib and second projecting rib formed on the top half case and the bottom half case respectively near the engaging opening for engaging with the upper and lower engaging tips so that the shutter is slidably mounted on the cartridge case.

Claim 9

The disc cartridge according to claim 6, wherein said shutter comprises a first plate, a second plate opposed to the first plate and a connecting plate for connecting the first and second plates in the form of a general U character shape.

Claim 10

The disc cartridge according to claim 6, wherein the shutter is made of synthetic resin materials as a whole.

Claim 11

The disc cartridge according to claim 6, wherein said first projecting rib in the top half case of the cartridge case has an upward inclined face inclined upwardly in the direction toward the shutter and said second projecting rib in the bottom half case of the cartridge case has a downward inclined face inclined downwardly in the direction toward the shutter, said column like member of the shutter being able to twist and the upper engaging tip and lower engaging tips being formed with slanted face for helping the twisting of the column like member.

Claim 12

In a disc cartridge comprising a cartridge case formed by assembling a top half case and a bottom half case each half case having head accessing opening and both half cases being connected together near the both side ends of the front face of the cartridge case, a disc rotatably accommodated in the cartridge case, a shutter mounted on the front side of the cartridge case for closing and opening at least said head accessing opening, the improvement comprises means for connecting the top half case and bottom half case in the central portion of the front portion of the cartridge case.

Claim 13

In a disc cartridge comprising a cartridge case formed by assembling a top half case and a bottom half case each half case having head accessing opening and both half cases being connected together near the both side ends of the front face of the cartridge case, a disc rotatably accommodated in the cartridge case, a shutter mounted on the front side of the cartridge case for closing and opening at least said head accessing opening, the improvement comprises means for connecting the top half case and bottom half case in the central portion of the front portion of the cartridge case.

Claim 14

The disc cartridge according to claim 10, wherein said connecting means is disposed at a position corresponding to the head accessing openings.

Claim 15

The disc cartridge according to claim 10, wherein said connecting means is formed by mechanical engageable structure.

Claim 16

The disc cartridge according to claim 10, wherein each of the top half case and bottom half case comprises a recess formed by a thin portion of the case for accommodating the shutter and limiting the range of the movement of the shutter and said connecting means is disposed in the thin portion.
