Abstract 1. System for cytological and histological examinations of a specimen spread on a specimen slide (3), characterized in that it comprises a separating chamber (4) mountable on the specimen slide (3) and detachable therefrom after use, the surface (5) of said separation chamber facing the specimen slide (3) comprising a sealing (6) separating the area of the specimen to be examined from the remaining area.
