Method and apparatus for sorting coins
Abstract
Abstract 1. Process for the sorting of coins (10), in which the coins (10) to be sorted are moved along a conveyor track (3) past sorting stations (6) arranged in succession along the latter (3) and are deflected from the conveyor track (3) at these, at each sorting station (6) the size of the coins (10) being determined and the latter being deflected from the conveyor track (3) only when the coin size determined at a sorting station (3) corresponds to a nominal value assigned to this sorting station (6), characterized in that at least one further characteristic of the coins (10) is determined at the start of the conveyor track (3) and before the first sorting station (6a), and, when the nominal and actual values of the coin size are equal at a sorting station (6), at the latter the coins (10) are deflected from the conveyor track (3) only when the nominal value assigned to this sorting station (6) and representing the further characteristic or characteristics of a coin (10) corresponds to the actual value of this further characteristic or these further characteristics which is determined at the start of the conveyor track (3).
