Abstract

The direct chisel drive for deep drilling tools comprises means (2, 5) for connection to a drill string (2 ') at one end and a rotary drill bit (1') at its other end and consists of a tubular housing (1), one arranged therein, of Rotating machine (3) which can be driven through the flushing liquid and a shaft (4) connected to it and axially and radially mounted in the housing (1) and emerging from it. The axial bearing (6) is exposed to the flushing liquid and has at least one support ring (7, 8) supported on the shaft (4), one of which has a plurality of bearing segments (14) distributed over its circumference and the other a flat, continuous one with which Has bearing segments (14) in rotary bearing contact bearing ring (18). Each bearing segment (14) forms a gap (21) converging in the direction of rotation (19) of the bearing ring (18) relative to the bearing segments (14) between the bearing surfaces (16) of the bearing segments (14) and those (17) of the bearing ring (18) about a radial axis (15) pivotally arranged on its support ring (7), in such a way that by the entrained parts of the axial bearing (6) entrained rinsing liquid between the bearing surfaces (16, 17) a sliding friction reducing, hydrodynamic lubricating film is built up.
