Abstract

Abstract A passenger seat constructed of rectangular tube sections, which is stiffened by a beam disposed at the intersection of the seat backs with the seat, which beam consists of a rear frame piece connected to the rear frame structure and having upwardly pointing joint supports, which in turn are firmly located by stiffening rods. The lower ends of the seat back side frame members are reinforced by stiffening members mounted to their front side and at the same time forming lugs for pivotally supporting the seat backs on the joint supports, so as to provide for lowest possible weight together with the necessary strength.
