Abstract
Abstract The plastic articles comprise at least two layers. The first layer (1) is an oxygen permeable plastic material. The second layer comprises (A) from 65 to 95 weight percent of a thermoplastic vinylidene chloride copolymer and (B) from 35 to 5 weight percent of a thermoplastic halogenated polymer of one or more types of non-aromatic ethylenically unsaturated hydrocarbons of 2 to 12 carbon atoms, based on the total weight of (A) and (B). The two layers can be coextruded for producing the plastic articles. Alternatively, a base plastic article which comprises the first layer (1) can be coated or laminated with the second layer (2). The plastic articles have excellent gas in particular oxygen barrier properties.
