Abstract

Abstract A magnetic recording and/or reproducing apparatus is disclosed, comprising a rotary head device (9), in which a magnetic tape (2) is drawn out of a cassette (1) and brought into contact with the rotary head device (9) or the like. A tape draw-out device (3,4) doubling as a tape guide forms a predetermined tape path and guides the drive of the magnetic tape after drawing out the magnetic tape. The apparatus further requires a fixed magnetic head (11) and other tape guide mechanism (5a) which are movably arranged on the path of the tape draw-out device during the apparatus operation for reducing the size thereof. With the tape loading operation, the fixed magnetic head and the other tape guide are moved by a common drive mechanism (27,28,29, 31) and held in position by a common stopper (21).

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 6
Claim 1
Independent Claim 267 words
A tape guide device for a recording and/or reproducing apparatus for drawing a recording medium in the form of tape out of a cassette accommodating said recording medium and bringing the tape into contact with a predetermined tape drive path, comprising: tape draw-out means (3, 4) for drawing the recording medium in tape form out of the cassette, forming a predetermined tape drive path, and guiding the advance of the recording medium; tape-loading drive means (31 to 38, 39 to 44, 46 to 49) for moving said tape draw-out means reversibly; a recording/reproducing head (11) held on a rotatable arm (22) for forming a recording track in the longitudinal direction of said recording medium in tape form or reproducing a signal from said recording track; guide means (5a) for guiding the recording medium in tape form drawn out of said cassette by said tape draw-out means along a predetermined tape drive path, said guide means being held on an arm (5) rotated by the tape loading operation; and a drive mechanism (27, 28, 29) engaged with an arm (22) holding said recording/reproducing head and an arm (5) holding said guide means for driving said recording/ reproducing head and guide means to a predetermined position with the tape loading operation by being driven rotationally by said tape-loading drive means; wherein the predetermined position of said recording/reproducing head and said guide means is located along the moving path of said tape draw-out means, said recording/reproducing head and said guide means being moved to the predetermined position after the movement of said tape draw-out means by the tape loading operation.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 267 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 56 words
A tape guide device according to Claim 1, wherein said drive mechanism includes a drive arm (27) having an elastic engaging member C27c) adapted to engage the arm (5) for holding said guide means (5a) and a cam slot (27dl adapted to engage a protrusion (22d) formed on the arm (22) for holding said recording/reproducing head.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 78 words
A tape guide device according to Claim 1, further comprising a protrusion (5b) formed on the arm (5) for holding said guide means, and stopper means (21) for stopping the rotation of the arm (5) with said protrusion contacting the arm (5), wherein the protrusion (5b) stopped by being contacted by said stopper means is brought into contact with the arm (22) for holding said recording/ reproducing head in such a manner as to stop the rotation thereof.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 45 words
A tape guide device according to Claim 1, wherein said guide means (5a) held on said arm (5) includes a guide pin (5a) tilted against the plane including the bottom surface of the cassette containing the recording medium in tape form loaded in the apparatus.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 44 words
A tape guide device according to Claim 1, wherein said arm (22) for holding said recording/reproducing head and said arm (5) for holding said guide means are rotated on a common drive arm (27) and set in position by a common stopper means (21).
