Abstract 1. A cycle wheel comprising a hub (1), cheeks (3, 4) of a fibre-resin composite material on either side of an internal fill (5), and a rim (6) of fibre-resin composite material manufactured independently of the other parts of the wheel, then assembled around its periphery, characterized in that its rim comprises at least an intermediate layer (13) of a material made of a carbon fibre fabric impregnated with resin and disposed concentrically about the axis of the wheel, and that the cheeks (3, 4) are connected by means of an adaptive ring (7).
