Abstract

Abstract A blood flow measuring apparatus provides a two-dimensional blood stream flow velocity distribution diagram (60) which displays a two-dimensional blood stream flow velocity distribution in a region of a living body to be examined and a one-dimensional blood stream flow velocity distribution diagram (61) which displays a one-dimensional blood stream flow velocity distribution in a linear region specified by a line (3a) on the examined region with a different measuring condition from the measurement of the two-dimensional blood stream flow velocity distribution. In the present invention, the two-dimensional blood stream flow velocity diagram and the one-dimensional blood stream flow velocity diagram are simultaneously displayed in such a manner that the corresponding portions are clearly read and thus the blood stream flow velocity in each portion can be correctly and easily determined.

A blood flow measuring apparatus which includes a first means for measuring in real time a two-dimensional blood stream flow velocity distribution in a region to be examined in a living body and a second means for measuring as a different measuring condition from the measurement of said two dimensional blood stream flow velocity distribution a one-dimensional blood stream flow velocity distribution of a linear region specified by a specified line on said region to be examined; comprising means for simultaneously displaying blood stream data of a linear region which is output from said second means, with a displacement proportional to said blood stream data, on a two-dimensional blood stream flow velocity distribution diagram or beside said two-dimensional blood stream flow velocity distribution diagram in which said specified line is displayed.

A blood flow measuring apparatus according to claim 1, wherein a means for detecting a specified value from the output of said second means for each of said linear regions is provided, so that the output of said second means detected by said means is displayed.

A blood flow measuring apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the output of said second means displays a change of a one-dimensional blood stream flow velocity distribution on a time axis or superimposed on a picture displayed by a variation in brightness or a colour change.

A blood flow measuring apparatus according to claim 1, wherein a B mode diagram is displayed superimposed on a two-dimensional blood stream flow velocity distribution diagram.
