Abstract

Abstract A plurality of optical guide paths (21, 22) are built in a guide path plate (1). A plurality of optical guide posts (61,62) are erected on the guide path plate (1) so that each may oppose to one end of the corresponding optical guide path (21,22). The other end of at least one (21) of the optical guide paths is optically connected to a light projecting portion (3), and the other end of at least another one (22) of the optical guide paths is optically connected to a light receiving portion (4). A part (5) to-be-sensed which is movable is located between the distal ends of the optical guide posts (61, 62) whose base ends are connected to the corresponding optical guide paths (21, 22). The presence of the part (5) to-be-sensed is detected in such a way that the part (5) interrupts or transmits light which passes between the distal ends of the optical guide posts (61, 62).

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 8
Claim 1
Independent Claim 153 words
A photosensor wherein a light projecting portion (3) and a light receiving portion (4) are optically connected thereby to sense the presence of a part (5) to-be-sensed, characterized by a guide path plate (1) in which a plurality of optical guide paths (21, 22, 23) are built, and a plurality of optical guide posts (61, 62, 91, 92, 121, 122, 141, 142) so erected on said guide path plate (1) that one end of each said post (61, 62, ...) joins to the corresponding optical guide path (21, 22, 23) and the other ends of said posts (61, 62, ...) couple to each other through the part (5) to-be-sensed, said light projecting portion (3) being optically connected to one end of at least one (21) of said optical guide paths, and said light receiving portion (4) being optically connected to one end of at least another one (22) of said optical guide paths.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 153 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 36 words
The photosensor of Claim 1, wherein said optical guide post (61, 62, 91, 92) is a rod lens at least one end of which is provided with a reflector (71, 72, 81, 82). (Fig. 2, 3)
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 28 words
The photosensor of Claim 1 or 2, wherein said optical guide post (91, 92) is a transparent body both ends of which are cut obliquely. (Fig. 4, 5)
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 41 words
The photosensor of Claim 3, wherein the two ends of said optical guide post (91, 92) are cut obliquely at 45° and so oriented that the optical axis of entrance and the optical axis of exit intersect orthogonally. (Fig. 4, 5)
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 36 words
The photosensor of any of Claims 1 to 4, wherein said optical guide post (91, 92) is formed with condensing lenses (101, 102, 111, 112) at entrance and exit ports by extrusion molding (Fig. 4, 5)
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 45 words
The photosensor of Claim 1, wherein said optical guide post (121, 122) is made of a rod lens which is curved and formed so as to lead light from said optical guide path (21, 22) to the exterior of said guide path plate (1).(Fig. 6)
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 40 words
The photosensor of Claim 1, wherein said optical guide post (141, 142) is made of a second guide path plate which derives light in said optical guide path (21, 22) to the exterior of said guide path plate (1).(Fig. 7)
