Abstract
Abstract An electronic word processing apparatus has a keyboard (1) including character keys and attribute keys. Attribute codes input by the attribute keys are stored in an attribute code memory (7) in accordance with the sequence of attribute key operation. An attribute pattern corresponding to an attribute code read out from the memory (7) is read out from attribute pattern memories (12-1, 12-2, ..., 12-N), and is printed by a printing section (13) after compounding by an instruction from an attribute compounding designation section (4).

Total Claims: 9
Claim 1
Independent Claim
100 words
An electronic word processing apparatus comprising keyboard means; memory means for storing a dot pattern corresponding an input character; a plurality of attribute pattern memory means arranged in correspondence with each attribute pattern; and outputting means for outputting the character pattern compounded with the attribute pattern, characterized in that the apparatus further includes attribute code memory means (7) for storing a plurality of attribute codes; and compounding means (2, 4) for compounding an attribute pattern corresponding to an attribute code stored in said attribute code memory with a character pattern input by operation of a key of said keyboard means.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
30 words
An apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that said keyboard means has attribute keys (El, E2,..., EN) operated to store desired attribute codes in said attribute code memory means.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
78 words
An apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that said compounding means comprises a plurality of attribute pattern memory means (12-1, 12-2,..., 12-N) arranged in correspondence with attribute patterns, and an attribute compounding designation section (4) for compounding attribute patterns corresponding to attribute codes stored in said attribute code memory means and respectively read out from said plurality of attribute pattern memory means with an input character pattern input by operation of a key of said keyboard means.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
32 words
An apparatus according to claim 3, characterized in that said attribute compounding designation section designates compounding of attribute patterns read out from said attribute pattern memories with a single input character pattern.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
80 words
An apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that said compounding means comprises a first working memory (5) for storing one input character pattern and a compounded pattern; a second working memory (6) for storing a pattern obtained by adding a specific modification to a pattern stored in said first working memory; and an attribute compounding designation section (4) for compounding a pattern stored in said first working memory (5) and a pattern stored in said second working memory (6).
Claim 7
Dependent Claim
51 words
An apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that the apparatus further includes a character buffer memory (9) for sequentially storing character codes input by operation of said character keys, and wherein said compounding means compounds desired attribute patterns with character codes sequentially read out from said character buffer memory (9).
Claim 8
Dependent Claim
27 words
An apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that the outputting means is printing means (10, 13), connected to said compounding means, for printing the compounded pattern.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim
52 words
An apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that said keyboard means specifies a compounding sequence of attribute patterns corresponding to an input character pattern in accordance with an operation sequence of said attribute keys, and compounds the attribute patterns with the input character pattern in accordance with the specified compounding sequence.
