Abstract
Abstract An interface module (10) for connecting data sources to data sinks contains a plurality of inputs/outputs (24,28) having different transmission rates, which are connected to one another by means of a switching device (16). The setting commands for the switching device (16) can be supplied on each data channel leading via one of the inputs/outputs. Applications in communications systems, particularly in switching systems, are shown. <IMAGE>
