Il comprend un support (12) linéaire plan apte à recevoir un ensemble de substrats (2) alignés suivant un axe d'alignement et une source (10) de pulvérisation cathodique disposée au-dessus dudit support et centrée sur ledit axe d'alignement, lesdits substrats et ladite source étant animés d'un mouvement relatif de translation suivant ledit axe d'alignement pendant le dépôt de la couche d'orientation, ledit mouvement faisant varier continûment l'angle d'incidence des particules déposées en chaque point d'un substrat dans un intervalle contenant l'incidence normale.
