Acoustic coupler for data transmission
Abstract
Abstract The acoustic coupler is for data transmission from and to a computer connected to it, by way of a telephone. The acoustic coupler has a transmitting part and a receiving part (2, 3), which can be fitted onto the loudspeaker area and the microphone area of the telephone receiver, and a flexible intermediate part (8), connecting the transmitting part and the receiving part, the transmitting part and the receiving part bearing depressions (9), accommodating the receiver, and in each case a flexible adaptor element (11), partially covering the depressions. The depressions (9) and adaptor elements (11) have an essentially square shape with rounded-off ends, an opening of a corresponding shape being provided in each adaptor element. <IMAGE>
