Method to increase the definition of a compatible television system

Abstract Translated from German Zur Auflösungserhöhung für ein kompatibles Fernsehsystem erfolgt eine Vertikalabtastung mit einer Hochzeilenkamera (K) und zusätzlich eine Abtastung (AD1) in Richtung horizontaler Ortsfrequenzen. Dieses abgetastete Bildsignal wird in seinen Diagonalrichtungen gefiltert (DF1, DF2) und anschließend zur Übertragung offsetmoduliert (OMB). Auf der Empfangsseite erfolgt eine entsprechende Signalverarbeitung zur Wiedergabe auf einem hochauflösenden Monitor (M). To increase the resolution for a compatible television system, a vertical scan is carried out with a high-line camera (K) and additionally a scan (AD1) in the direction of horizontal spatial frequencies. This scanned image signal is filtered in its diagonal directions (DF1, DF2) and then offset modulated for transmission (OMB). Appropriate signal processing for reproduction on a high-resolution monitor (M) takes place on the reception side.
