Abstract

The mixed construction rubble is fed from a flat bunker (1) via a conveyor system (3, 6) to a first treatment station (2) with a rotating sieve drum (8), in which a fine and a coarse fraction is sieved out as a sieve underflow. The screen overflow from the drum (8) is fed to a second treatment station (23) which is designed as a manual reading section and in which two or more types of material, e.g. wood, ferrous metal, and combustible materials are transferred from the screen overflow into appropriate bunkers (24, 25, 26) are sorted out, while the residual fraction contains larger parts than the coarse fraction. The fine and coarse fraction, the latter after removal of the ferrous metals, and the remaining fraction are brought to the landfill. These shares make up only about a third of the total mixed construction rubble. This means that existing landfill sites can be operated for much longer. On the other hand, the plant is simply designed so that the operation can be carried out inexpensively, taking into account the proceeds from the parts that are no longer to be stored in the landfill.
