The fiber bed element of Claim 1 further comprising a cylindrical screen wherein said bed of fibers is formed by winding said plurality of predominantly parallel slivers about said cylindrical screen.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
31 words
The fiber bed element of Claim 2 wherein said plurality of predominantly parallel slivers comprises from about 4 to about 60 predominantly parallel slivers which are simultaneously wound about said-cylindrical screen.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
23 words
The fiber bed element of Claim 1 wherein said staple fibers have a diameter of between about 7 microns and about 11 microns.
