Abstract
Abstract In this coupling device for optical fibres (L1, L2), particularly for monomode fibres, the optical fibres to be coupled with their end faces are placed into a 60 DEG V-groove (5), the sides of which are coated with an easily deformable material (10). Onto the optical fibres, an upper part (3) is then pressed which is also coated. This advantageously and inexpensively centres the optical fibres. <IMAGE>
