Abstract
Abstract A bearing device (1) for high-speed rotary machines comprises a first rolling-element bearing (2) having a retainer (6) for holding constant spacing of rolling elements (5) inserted between an inner race (3) and an outer race (4) thereof and also a second bearing (8) for supporting the retainer (6) of the first rolling-element bearing (2), thereby the retainer (6) of the first rolling-element bearing (2) is prevented from contacting with the inner race (3) or the outer race (4).

Claim 1
Independent Claim
87 words
A bearing device (1) comprising a first rolling-element bearing (2) having a retainer (6) for holding constant spacing of a plurality of rolling elements (5) inserted between an inner race (3) and an outer race (4) thereof; characterized by a second bearing (8) for supporting the retainer (6) of said first rolling-element bearing (2), whereby the second bearing (8) prevents the retainer (6) of the first rolling-element bearing (2) from contacting with the inner race (3) or the outer race (4) of the first rolling-element bearing (2).
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
56 words
A bearing device (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that a support ring (7) is connected to one end of the retainer (6) of the first rolling-element bearing (2), the second bearing (8) is fitted to the support ring (7), and the retainer (6) of the first rolling-element bearing (2) is supported at one side.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
57 words
A bearing device (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that support rings (7) are connected respectively to both ends of the retainer (6) of the first rolling-element bearing (2), the second bearings (8) are fitted to both support rings (7), respectively, and the retainer (6) of the first rolling-element bearing (2) is supported at both sides.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
29 words
A bearing device (1) according to claim 1, 2 or 3, characterized in that said first rolling-element bearing (2) is a ball bearing with rolling elements (5) being balls.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
53 words
A bearing device according to any of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that said second bearing (8) is a rolling-element bearing having a plurality of rolling elements (11) inserted between an inner race (9) and an outer race (10) and a retainer (12) for holding constant spacing of the rolling elements (11).
Claim 7
Dependent Claim
25 words
A bearing device (1) according to claim 5, characterized in that said second bearing (8) is a ball bearing with rolling elements (11) being balls.
