Abstract

Device for insufflating gas, in particular carbon dioxide, into the human or animal body, with which the gas is passed from a compressed gas storage device, preferably via one or more intermediate storage devices and at least one pressure reducer, into a line and an insufflation instrument, such as a Veress needle , wherein the intra-abdominal static pressure is measured by means of the device, and a flow controller for the gas is provided in the line between the pressure reducer and the insufflation instrument, and downstream of the flow controller a pressure measuring device, the measured value of which is entered as a function of time in an electronic evaluation circuit and in the intra-abdominal pressure is converted.
