Abstract

In order to adapt the beat frequency of the heart even better to the respective stress conditions in a control circuit for adapting the stimulation frequency of a pacemaker to the load of a patient and to prevent interference, the invention provides for the frequency of the pacemaker to be controlled with a follow-up control as a function of a standardized first control variable is assigned a fixed value. Simultaneously with the overrun control, an optimizing control is carried out depending on a further control variable.
