Abstract

The invention relates to a dowel consisting of an expansion sleeve, a retractable into the expansion sleeve by means of a screw, provided with a conical expansion cone, and a compression zone arranged between the expansion sleeve and counter bearing, preferably formed by a plastic sleeve. In order for the dowel to achieve a good expansion capacity and a high holding value even when cracks form, the largest diameter of the conical expansion cone (12) is tangentially followed by a concavely curved section (15), the Taggente applied at the outlet of the curved section (15) The central axis of the dowel forms an angle which corresponds approximately to twice the angle of the conical expansion cone (12).
