Abstract Translated from German Beschrieben wird ein Verfahren zur fotochemischen Stabilisierung von ungefärbtem und gefärbtem Polyamid- bzw. Polyurethanfasermaterial, das dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass man das Fasermaterial mit einem faseraffinen, wasserlöslichen organischen Kupfer-, Mangan- oder Nickel- komplex behandelt. Das so behandelte Polyamid- bzw. Polyurethanfasermaterial, z.B. Textilmaterial, behält seine Dehnbarkeit und Elastizität auch nach länger dauernder Belichtung weitgehend bei. Zudem wird bei gefäbtem Material durch die Behandlung mit dem Metallkomplex eine deutliche Verbesserung der Lichtechtheit erreicht. Als wasserlösliche Metallkomplexe sind sulfogruppenhaltige Bisazomethine, Acylhydrazone, Semicarbazone oder Thiosemicarbazone aromatischer Aldehyde oder Ketone erwähnt.
