Claim 3
Dependent Claim 23 words
An enclosure according to claim 1, in which the outlets are recoverable, recovery effecting sealing engagement between the outlets and cables they carry.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 19 words
An enclosure according to claim 1 or 2, in which each of said outlets comprises an independant tubular member.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 23 words
An enclosure according to any of claims 1-3, in which at least two outlets are formed from subdivision of a single tubular member.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 19 words
An enclosure according to any preceding claim, in which the outlets include a self-heating means comprising an electrical heater.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 16 words
An enclosure according to claim 5, in which the outlets comprises a recoverable conductive polymeric material.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 19 words
An enclosure according to claim 6, in which the conductive polymeric material exhibits positive temperature coefficient of resistance behaviour.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 40 words
An enclosu according to claim 1, which additionally comprises a band of recoverable material which can bridge a join line between the base and the cover and by means of which the base and the cover may be sealed together.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 23 words
An enclosure according to any preceding claim, in which the base has means for providing a reservior for an encapsulant around a cable.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 26 words
An enclosure according to any preceding claim, in which the base has means for electrical and/or mechanical connection to a cable outer screen and/or strength member.
Claim 12
Dependent Claim 26 words
An enclosure according to any preceding claim, in which the base has means for electrical and/or mechanical connection to a cable inner conductor or strength member.
Claim 13
Dependent Claim 20 words
An enclosure according to any preceding claim, in which the optical fibre organizer comprises one or more optical fibre trays.
Claim 14
Dependent Claim 28 words
An enclosure according to claim 12, in which the trays are each hinged to a carrier, the hinge line running substantially perpendicular to the cables entering the base.
Claim 15
Dependent Claim 42 words
An enclosure according to claim 12 or 13, in which the trays comprise a first portion which can accept a loop of optical fibre and a second portion at an edge of the first portion which can accept an optical fibre splice.
Claim 16
Dependent Claim 17 words
An enclosure according to claim 14, in which the first portion has means for locating the loop.
Claim 17
Dependent Claim 30 words
An enclosure according to claim 14 or 15, in which the trays additionally comprise a splice holder capable of locating a fiber splice on the second portion of the tray.
Claim 18
Dependent Claim 19 words
An enclosure according to claim 16, in which the splice holder is adaptable to hold splices of different design.
Claim 19
Dependent Claim 86 words
An enclosure capable of enclosing a splice between at least two optical fibre cables, comprising: a base having outlets capable of receiving the cables; at least one optical fibre organizer attachable to the base and capable of storing a plurality of optical fibres in a path having a minimum bend radius of curvature no smaller then the minimum bend radius of said optical fibre; means for forming a reservoir for an encapsulant around the cables; a cover which together with the base can enclosure the organizer.
Claim 20
Dependent Claim 86 words
An enclosure capable of enclosing a splice between at least two optical fibre cables, comprising: a base having outlets capable of receiving the cables; at least one optical fibre organizer attachable to the base and capable of storing a plurality of optical fibres in a path having a minimum bend radius of curvature no smaller then the minimum bend radius of said optical fibre; means for forming a reservoir for an encapsulant around the cables; a cover which together with the base can enclosure the organizer.
Claim 21
Dependent Claim 15 words
An enclosure according to claim 18, having means for forming separate reservoirs for each cable.
Claim 22
Dependent Claim 112 words
An enclosure capable of enclosing a splice between at least two optical fibre cables, comprising: a base having outlets capable of receiving the cables; at least one optical fibre organizer attachable to the base and capable of storing a plurality of optical fibres in a path having a minimum bend radius of curvature no smaller than the minimum bend radius of said optical fibre, the organizer having means for holding a fibre positioned such that a loop of fibre containing the splice can follow a path having a greater minimum radius of curvature than that of other loops of the fibre; and a cover which together with the base can enclose the organizer.
Claim 23
