Claims Analysis
Total Claims: 9
Claim 1
Independent Claim
6 words
Pure toxin A of C. difficile.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
6 words
Pure toxin A of C. difficile.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
100 words
A process of purifying partially purified toxin A of C. difficile which contains remaining proteins, comprising: adjusting the pH and molarity of an aqueous solution of toxin A containing remaining proteins to precipitate toxin A from the solution without precipitating the remaining proteins, said pH being at a value of less than 6.0 and at which toxin A precipitates wihtout precipitation of remaining proteins, and without denaturing of toxin A, said molarity being less than 0.1 M, and at a value at which toxin A precipitates without precipitation of remaining proteins; and recovering precipitated toxin A as pure toxin A.
Claim 4
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
21 words
A process according to claim 2 wherein the pH is at least 5.0 and the molarity is at least 0.001 M.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
16 words
A process according to claim 2 or 3 wherein the pH is from 5.3 to 5.7.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim
