Abstract

Abstract A new device forthe anastomosis of hollow organs to be used by means of a suitable mechanical circular anastomotic gun, is described consisting essentially in three elements (A, B, C, A', B', C') fixed one inside the other, and compressing between two of them (B, C, B', C') the tissue edges of the hollow dissected organs, thus enabling the natural healing of a suture between the organs themselves.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 7
Claim 1
Independent Claim 137 words
Device for the circular anastomosis of hollow organs, which comprises three elements capable of being engaged one inside the other, characterized by that an element (C, C') constituting the outer element, has a cylindrical shape and shows in its upper surface an axial port (9, 27) around which is obtained a groove (10, 28) and internally, close to its lower edge a mating surface (11, 29); an element (B, B I ) constituting the intermediate element, having an outer portion (5, 23) of different thickness, longitudinal cuttings (7, 25), supported on a rim forming an abutment (6, 24) and an inner slot (8, 22) and a third element (A, A') constituting the inner element having a cylindrical portion (1, 15) and a conical portion (3, 17) which forms with the cylindrical portion below the abutment (4, 21).
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 137 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 38 words
Device according to claim 1, characterized by that the outer cylindrical portion (5, 23) of the intermediate element (B, B') is thin towards the abutment (6, 24) and thicker towards the opposite end to the abutment (6, 24).
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 27 words
Device according to claims 1 and 2, characterized by that the cylindrical portion (1, 15) of the inner element (A, A') shows a beveled end (2, 16).
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 27 words
Device according to claims 1-3, characterized by that the conical portion (3) of the inner element (A) and the cylindrical portion below show a longitudinal cutting (13).
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 58 words
Device according to claims 1-3, characterized by that the intermediate element (B').shows in its internal lower base a circular slot (26) defined below by a circular rim (30) and that the inner element (A') shows two conical portions (17, 18) the diameter of the lower conical portion (18) being bigger than that of the upper conical portion (17).
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 25 words
Device according to claim. 5, characterized by that the two conical portion (17, 18) and the cylindri cal portion in between show a longitudinal cutting.
