Abstract
Abstract An oriented polyester film comprising a polyester derived from ethylene terephthalate as the major monomeric unit; from 0.01 to 1.0% by weight of silica and/or titanium dioxide particles having an average size of 0.01 to 0.5 µm; and from 0.005 to 1.0% by weight of calcium carbonate particles having an average particle size of 0.01 to 0.5 µm. It can be used as the base film for a video tape.
