Abstract
Abstract Synergistic thickener mixture comprising a mixture of a polymer of 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropane sulfonic acid and certain water soluble polymers such as the galactomannan gums, derivatives thereof, celulose derivatives and polyoxyalkylene oxide polymers. The composition finds utility in earth formation fracturing, textile print pastes, suspending pigments in paints and gelling alcohol-based cosmetic formulations.
