An arrangement of a liquid crystal display unit comprising: a display panel (2) having a plurality of terminals (3); one or more flexible films (6) made of electrically non-conductive material; an IC chip (4) carried on each flexible film (6); and means for electrically connecting said IC chip with said terminals (3).
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 135 words
An arrangement of a liquid crystal display unit comprising: a liquid crystal display panel (2) having a plurality of first terminals (3); a plurality of flexible films (6) of electrically non-conductive material; an LSI chip (4) being carried on each flexible film (6) and serving as a driving circuit for driving said liquid crystal display panel; a plurality of second terminals (8) deposited on said flexible film (6) and extending from said LSI chip (4) ; a plurality of third terminals (10) deposited on said flexible film (6) and extending from said LSI chip (4); first means for connecting said plurality of first terminals (3) and said plurality of second terminals (8); and a bus structure (14, 12) connected to said third terminals (10) for supplying electric power and data to each LSI chip (4).
Claim 4
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 22 words
An arrangement as claimed in Claim 2, wherein said third terminals (10) are disposed at different distances from said LSI chip (4).
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 18 words
An arrangement as claimed in Claim 2, wherein said third terminals (10) are aligned along a straight line.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 34 words
An arrangement as claimed in Claim 2, wherein said first means is a unidirectional electrically conductive rubber sheet (16) positioned between said plurality of first terminals (3) and said plurality of second terminals (8).
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 26 words
An arrangement as claimed in Claim 2, wherein said bus structure is defined by a plurality of line electrodes (12) deposited on a flexible film (14).
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 27 words
An arrangement as claimed in Claim 2, wherein said bus structure is defined by a plurality of line electrodes (12) deposited on a hard circuit board (14').
