Abstract

High-voltage overhead lines are also used for the transmission of messages and measured values. This can be done with the help of light guides, which are arranged along the conductor cable or within the same. One problem with this is the transition of the light guide from high voltage potential to earth potential, for which the high voltage insulator carrying the cable is used. The invention has for its object to improve the arrangement of a light guide in a high voltage insulator. According to the invention, this is done in such a way that the intermediate layer between the trunk of the high-voltage insulator and the shield bodies attached has a layer of fat with at least one light guide embedded therein.
