Abstract

The device comprises an elastic flange 20 surrounded by two retention flanges 30 which are mounted by fixing means such as clips 50 on the support 5. The clips 50 in the rest position on the support can be positioned in two positions, the first holding the corresponding flange with a force such that the fibers can slide below them, and the second position locking the fibers in position under the corresponding flange. In the implementation of the method, a fiber is locked in position under a retention flange 30 and the opposite fiber slides under the opposite retention flange 30 and the elastic flange 20 until it comes end to end with the first fiber. The clips of the two flanges 20 and 30 are then placed in the second position so as to fix the connection.
