Device for attaching a cyclist's shoe to a bicycle pedal
Abstract
The device comprises a plate (1) fixed under the shoe, and a pedal (2) provided with a hooking claw (18) of the plate (1); lateral escape of the shoe is possible by twisting the foot, thanks to the presence of V-shaped control surfaces (11, 22) formed respectively on the plate (1) and on the claw (18) and capable of causing recoil of the claw (18). According to the invention, the pedal (2) is provided with fixed support stops (16a, 16b) which fully absorb the forces of the plate (1) backwards during normal pedaling, avoiding inadvertent trips.
