Abstract Thick film resistor composition which is a dispersion of (a) a conductive phase of a nonprecious metal pyrochlore and SnO 2 , (b) inorganic binder and (c) CoCr0 4 and/or NiCr0 4 in (d) organic medium.The metal chromate functions as a TCR driver.

A thick film resistor composition comprising an admixture of finely divided particles of (a) 40-85% wt. of a conductive phase consisting essentially of 1-95% wt. of a pyrochlore corresponding to the formula: Sn 2+ 2-x Ta Y3 Nb Y2 Sn 4+ Y1 O 7-x-y½ 4 , wherein x = 0-0.55 Y 3 = 0-2 Y 2 = 0-2 Y 1 = 0-0.5 and Y 1 + Y 2 + Y 3 = 2 or precursive mixtures thereof and 99-1% wt. SnO 2 : (b) 60-15% wt. inorganic binder, and (3) 0.05-10% wt. CoCr0 4 . NiCr0 4 or mixtures thereof, dispersed in (d) inorganic medium.
