Abstract
Abstract The present invention describes an improved receiver for the Teletext system, which makes it easier and comfortable to the user to select the desired information pages. The present invention allows, pressing a single key, to sequentially scan the pages; allows moreover to memorize the calling members of the most interesting pages and to recall them pressing a single key.

Claims Analysis
Total Claims: 13
Claim 1
Independent Claim
164 words
Receiver for an information transmission system, the information being represented by a plurality of text pages, each one selectable by the user, among all the receivable pages, sending to the receiver a sequence of data which indicate the selected page, the receiver comprising control means including a plurality of keys, which may be pressed by the user to produce control signals, processing means, coupled to said control means, to generate, in dependence of said control signals, said sequence of data, and a decoder circuit, coupled to said processing means, able to receive, select, process and reproduce the text pages, as a consequence of the receiving of the sequence of data, characterized in that the processing means do include means which, as a consequence of a single pressing of a single key of the control means, generate and send to the decoder circuit a data sequence so to allow the selection and the display of one page, choosed by the user among all receivable pages.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
40 words
Receiver according to claim 1, characterized in that said one page, choosed by the user among all receivable pages, is the page immediately preceding or following the selected page, displayed at the moment the said single key has been depressed.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
74 words
Receiver according to claim 2, characterized in that said sequence of data is represented by a number, that the said single key is respectively an increment or decrement key and that said processing means generate, as a consequence of the depressing of said single key, the number obtained respectively incrementing or decrementing the number corresponding to the page displayed at the moment the key has been depressed, and send it to said decoding circuit.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
56 words
Receiver according to claim 3, characterized in that said processing means provide for first memory means,in order to memorize the number corresponding to the displayed page, and that, as a consequence of the depressing of said increment or decrement key, memorize the new number in the first memory means and send it to said decoding circuit.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
92 words
Receiver according to claim 1, characterized in that there are provided second memory means and that said processing means provide for means which, as a consequence of the depressing of a memory key of said control means, perform the memorization in said second memory means of said sequence of data coresponding to the page displayed at the moment when the said key has been depressed, at an address determined by the user by the depression of one of the keys comprised in the control means for the recalling of the preselected pages.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim
87 words
Receiver according to claim 5, characterized in that said processing means provide for means which, as a consequence of the depressing of a key comprised in the control means for the recalling of the preselected pages, recall said sequence of data, corresponding to the preselected page which the user wants to recall, from said second memory means, taking it at an address determined by the recalling key, and send said sequence of data to the decoder circuit in order to allow the display of the desired page.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim
54 words
Receiver according to claim 6, characterized in that said processing means, as a consequence of a control signal, produced depressing a condition choice key, comprised in said control means, enable said means which recall said sequence of data, corresponding to the preselected page, which the user wants to recall, from said second memory means.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim
82 words
Receiver according to claim 6, characterized in that said processing means, as a consequence of the depression of a sequential search key, recall from said second memory means, at the address immediately preceding or following the address corresponding to the data which generated the sequence of data relating to the presently displayed page, a new sequence of data to be sent to the decoder circuit in order to allow for the display of the preceding or following page among the preselected pages.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim
40 words
Receiver according to claim 1, characterized in that said processing means and said means, which generate and send to the decoder circuit the sequence of data so as to allow for the selection of a page, comprise a microprocessing circuit.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim
47 words
Receiver according to claim 9, characterized in that said microprocessing circuit is used also to control another function in the receiver, particularly the tuning of the programs of a television set, apt also to receive the signal containing said information represented by a plurality of text pages.
Claim 12
Dependent Claim
25 words
Receiver according to claim 6 and 10, characterized in that said second memory means are used also to memorize data relating to the program tuning.
Claim 13
Dependent Claim
30 words
Receiver according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said information represented by a plurality of text pages are transmitted according to the so called "Televideo" system.
