Sight signalisation system with a continuous sequence along the road border for vehicle drive facility during mist-hampered sight

Abstract

Abstract The signalling system uses signal lights evenly spaced in a continuous sequence along the edges of the road and coupled in groups, each having a respective photocell control. This is adjustable to respond to a given restricted visibility level being reached to switch the signal lights into operation. The lights are subsequently switched out of use when the photocell control detects improved visibility. Pref. the signal lights are associated with standard means for designating the road edges, e.g. kerbstones or guide barriers.
