Abstract
Abstract A syringe for an injector utilizes a cylinder having a deformable wall portion in the outlet end. Excessive pressure within the syringe cylinder, or contact with the syringe piston at the end of its stroke distends the deformable wall portion of the cylinder, actuating a sensor which provides a signal.

Claim 1
Independent Claim
107 words
A pressure infusion apparatus with a disposable syringe having a cylinder (19) in which a piston (20) which can be moved by the pressure infusion apparatus (10) is arranged, characterised in that a) the cylinder (19) has a deformable wall portion (23) whose position changes as a function of the fluid pressure prevailing in the cylinder and/or by means of a pressure by the plunger (20), b) a position sensor (25) is arranged on the pressure infusion apparatus and is actuated by the position of the deformable wall portion, and c) the position sensor (25) triggers an alarm signal during pressure deforming of the deformable wall portion.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
24 words
A disposable syringe according to claim 1, characterised in that the deformable wall portion (23) is the outlet end wall of the cylinder (19).
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
23 words
A disposable syringe according to claim 1, characterised in that the deformable wall portion is arranged in the peripheral wall of the cylinder.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
32 words
A disposable syringe according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the position sensor (25) transmits an output signal proportional to the position of the deformable wall portion (23).
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
76 words
A disposable syringe according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the cylinder (19) can be fixed on the pressure infusion apparatus (10) by a holder (11) which acts on a flange number (17) of the cylinder (19) arranged in the fluid discharge direction behind the flexible wall portion (23), and in that a scanning pin (26) of the position sensor (25) can be moved by the neck (15) of the cylinder (19).
