Abstract

In the case of a cover composed of a cover (1) and a bearing body (2), wall sections (6, 7) are provided in the area of the bearing points of the cover (1) and the bearing body (2), a recess (10 ) is worked out, which is filled in the closed position of the cover (1) through a filling opening (11) with a flowable, continuous sealing compound (13), air being able to escape from a ventilation opening (12). The sealing compound (13) conforms completely to the contours of the recess (10) and thereby compensates for tolerances and inaccuracies in the dimensions of the cover (1) and the bearing body (2). As a result, not only a gas and liquid-tight seal, but also a play-free and thus rattle-free seating of the cover (1) in the bearing body (2) is achieved with little effort.
