Abstract

@ The oscillator circuit according to the invention consists of an emitter-coupled differential amplifier, which is fed by a current source and is connected with its two branches to the terminal for the supply potential via a load resistor. The two transistors of the differential amplifier together with an additional transistor each form an emitter follower circuit in that the collector of the additional transistor is located directly on the terminal for the supply potential and its emitter is connected to the base of the associated transistor of the differential amplifier. The base connections of the two last-mentioned transistors each form a connection of the input to be bridged by an oscillating circuit or an oscillating quartz, as a result of which the frequency of the oscillator is determined. In addition, the emitter of the two last-mentioned transistors operated in the collector circuit is each connected via a constant current source to the base of the current source feeding the differential amplifier and thus to the reference potential (ground). The advantage of this circuit is a high frequency constancy and a small oscillation amplitude. The circuit can also be expanded to an FM-modulatable oscillator that works without capacitance diodes.
