Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 3
Claim 1
Independent Claim 68 words
An exhaust port system for a 2-cycle engine comrpising: an exhaust main port formed in the wall of a cylinder such as to open to the combustion chamber in said cylinder; an exhaust sub-port formed in the wall of said cylinder at a lateral side of said main port; and a controlling means for varying the degree of opening of said sub-port in accordance with the engine speed.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 68 words
An exhaust port system for a 2-cycle engine comrpising: an exhaust main port formed in the wall of a cylinder such as to open to the combustion chamber in said cylinder; an exhaust sub-port formed in the wall of said cylinder at a lateral side of said main port; and a controlling means for varying the degree of opening of said sub-port in accordance with the engine speed.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 82 words
An exhaust port system for a 2-cycle engine according to claim 1, wherein said controlling means includes a valve provided on said sub-port, a lever mechanism connected to said rod and adapted to move the valve such that the valve changes the degree of opening of said sub-port, a rotary governor connectdd to said lever mechanism and adapted to actuate said lever mechanism, and a gear mechanism connected to the crankshaft of said engine and adapted to drive said rotary governor.
