Abstract

Abstract A therapeutic method employing a flat battery comprises applying the negative electode of the flat battery to the affected part of the body, and attaching the battery to the skin by a substance coating the positive electrode of the battery. A therapeutic appliance is also provided in which the positive electrode side of the flat battery is mounted on a coating material of an area larger than that of the battery, and the circumferential edge of the coating material can be attached to the skin with the negative electrode side of the battery applied to the affected part of the body.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 18
Claim 1
Independent Claim 43 words
(1) A therapeutic method with a sheetlike battery which comprises placing a negative electrode of said sheetlike battery in contact with an affected part and attaching said battery to skin by a covering member which covers over the positive electrode of said battery.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 33 words
(2) A sheetlike battery as claimed in claim 1, wherein one side of said battery where the positive electrode and negative electrode are arranged side by side is attached to said affected part.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 63 words
(3) A therapeutic means with a sheetlike battery which comprises a covering member having an area larger than said battery and attached to the positive electrode side of said battery, said covering member being adapted to attach to skin at the peripheral portion thereof after placing the negative electrode side of said battery in contact with an affected part of a human body.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 21 words
(4) A therapeutic means with a sheetlike battery as claimed in claim 3, wherein said covering member is an adhesive film.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 45 words
(5) A therapeutic means with a sheetlike battery as claimed in claim 3, wherein said covering member is a double layer construction comprising a water-impermeable film and adhesive film and is laminated on the positive electrode side of said battery in the above mentioned order.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 29 words
(6) A therapeutic means with a sheetlike battery as claimed in claims 3 to 5, wherein an absorbent material is attached to the negative electrode side of said battery.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 60 words
(7) A therapeutic means with a sheetlike battery as claimed in claim 3, wherein said sheetlike battery is folded in such a manner that the positive electrode side and the negative electrode side is arranged'side by side, the negative electrode being adapted to be attached on the affected part, and said covering member is attached on the positive electrode side.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 52 words
(8) A therapeutic means with a sheetlike battery as claimed in claim 7, wherein said sheetlike battery is folded at both side edges thereof such that the negative electrode comes inside, whereby, on one side of said battery, the positive electrode locates center part and the negative electrode locates at both sides.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 52 words
(9) A therapeutic means with a sheetlike battery as claimed in claims 3 to 8, wherein said sheetlike battery comprises a positive sheet member densely containing carbon fiber or fine carbon particles, a negative electrode of metal foil such as aluminium or zinc, and electrolyte interposed between said positive and negative electrodes.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 42 words
A therapeutic method with a sheetlike battery which comprises placing a negative electrode of said sheetlike battery in contact with an affected part and attaching said battery to skin by a covering member which covers over the positive electrode of said battery.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 37 words
(amended) A therapeutic method with a sheetlike battery as claimed in claim 1, wherein one side of said battery where the positive electrode and negative electrode are arranged side by side is attached to said affected part.
Claim 12
Dependent Claim 55 words
(amended) A therapeutic means with a sheetlike battery which comprises a covering member attached to the positive electrode side of said battery, said covering member being adapted to attach to skin at the peripheral portion thereof after placing the negative electrode side of said battery in contact with an affected part of a human body.
Claim 13
Dependent Claim 20 words
A therapeutic means with a sheetlike battery as claimed in claim 3, wherein said covering member is an adhesive film.
Claim 14
Dependent Claim 43 words
A therapeutic means with a sheetlike battery as claimed in claim 3, wherein said covering member is a double layer construction comprising a water-impermeable film and adhesive film and is laminated on the positive electrode side of said battery in the above-mentioned order.
Claim 15
Dependent Claim 28 words
A therapeutic means with a sheetlike battery as claimed in .claims 3 to 5, wherein an absorbent material is attached to the negative electrode side of said battery.
Claim 16
Dependent Claim 60 words
A therapeutic means with a sheetlike battery as claimed in claim 3, wherein said sheetlike battery is folded in such a manner that the positive electrode side and the negative electrode side is arranged side by side, the negative electrode being adapted to be attached on the affected part, and said covering member is attached on the positive electrode side.
Claim 17
Dependent Claim 51 words
A therapeutic means with a sheetlike battery as claimed in claim 7, wherein said sheetlike battery is folded at both side edges thereof such that the negative electrode comes inside, whereby, on one side of said battery, the positive electrode locates center part and the negative electrode locates at both sides.
Claim 18
Dependent Claim 51 words
A therapeutic means with a sheetlike battery as claimed in claims 3 to 8, wherein said sheetlike battery comprises a positive sheet member densely containing carbon fiber or fine carbon particles, a negative electrode of metal foil such as aluminium or zinc, and electrolyte interposed between said positive and negative electrodes.
