Abstract
Abstract A hot-wire TIG welding method and apparatus in wnich the wire heating electric power is detected and the output of a wire heating power supply is controlled while making a reference to the detected value of the wire heating electric power such that the wire heating electric power commensurate with the wire feed speed is obtained. Typically, the wire heating electric power is controlled through the control of the time duration of supply of the wire heating current in each base arc current period in which the arc current takes the base level.
