Abstract

Abstract An optical fiber cable comprising a core (2) which comprises at least two filaments (21) stranded, at least one optical fiber (1) stranded around the core (2) and a jacket (4,5,6) around the optical fiber (1), wherein the strand pitch of the filaments (21) of the core (2) is greater than that of the optical fiber (1), in which the optical fiber (1) contained is free from elongation strain when the cable is stretched.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 5
Claim 1
Independent Claim 57 words
An optical fiber cable characterised by a core (2) which comprises at least two filaments (21) stranded, at least one optical fiber (1) stranded around the core (2) and a jacket (3,45) around the optical fiber (1), wherein the strand pitch of the filaments of the core (2) is greater than that of the optical fiber (1).
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 57 words
An optical fiber cable characterised by a core (2) which comprises at least two filaments (21) stranded, at least one optical fiber (1) stranded around the core (2) and a jacket (3,45) around the optical fiber (1), wherein the strand pitch of the filaments of the core (2) is greater than that of the optical fiber (1).
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 34 words
An optical fiber cable as claimed in claim 1, characterised in that the core (2) comprises a cushioning member (22) and at least two high tensile filaments (21) stranded around the cushioning member (22).
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 45 words
An optical fiber cable as claimed in claim 1, characterised in that the core (2) comprises a central tension member (23), a cushioning member (22) placed around the central tension member and at least two high tensile filaments (21) stranded around the cushioning member (22).
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 53 words
An optical fiber cable as claimed in claim 1, characterised in that the pitch of the helically stranded optical fiber (1) is from 5 to 30 cm, and the pitch of the stranded filament (21) of the core is greater than that of the optical fiber (1) by from 10 to 40 cm.
